Welcome!

Adventuring Through Motherhood is a blog for all mothers of young children that are tired of never getting out. It’s easy to get lost in motherhood and do things only for your kids, especially when they’re very young. And it can take a toll on both your physical and mental health.

Many of my readers also love finding good learning opportunities for their kids and ensuring they’re active enough every day. But life is busy, and it’s often challenging to come up with ideas that are easy and worthwhile.

Through my blog, I aim to help mothers overcome these obstacles so they can live a better, more enriched life with their kids. Momming is hard—let me help you make it easier!

My favorite adventures include snowshoeing, hiking, and kayaking, but I find joy in just about anything outside. Here in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, there are a lot of different weather conditions to consider, so I’m well-versed in what works in various situations.

I’ve gone through some growing pains with adventuring (and, let’s be honest here, motherhood as well), and I love sharing the knowledge I’ve gained with anyone who wants to know.

I also love writing, and after having my son, I started freelancing to spend more time with him. So if you like what you read and have a writing opportunity I might be a fit for, head over to my services page for more info and to get in contact!

A few things about me

I’m a mother to a very active 2-year-old son who would live outside if we let him. I enjoyed adventuring alone with my husband before motherhood, but my love of adventure and the outdoors has only grown since becoming a mom.

It didn’t start that way— I was a super nervous first-time mom! But I’ve managed to overcome the anxiety of adventuring with my young son (well, most of it, anyway) and want you to learn from my trial and error.
